Trans fat is a type of fat that most medical practitioners consider bad for your health. They are naturally occurring trans fats like in meat, but most that exist in our foods, are formed via an industrial method that increases the level of hydrogen in vegetable oil that solidifies at room temperature. The fat increases your bad cholesterol levels and at the some lowers your good cholesterol putting you at the risk of contracting heart disease. In addition, the hydrogenated oils have a long life span and so many restaurants use them to deep fry foods since they don't require constant changing like other oils. Fried foods like chicken and French fries contain extremely high levels of cholesterol. The oil used in deep frying them contains this dangerous fat, and they soak it into their structure. Pies and pie crusts also contain the notorious hydrogenated oil. They are baked foods that have high cholesterol content. And most people love eating pies; they are therefore at high risk of getting diseases that are related to the high content of fat in the body.

Microwave Pop corns are snacks that are becoming increasingly popular in the present world. However, they are made with the unsafe hydrogenated oils and lots of salt that can constitute to heart illnesses. And with the high number of people seeking this sweet delicacy, high rates of illnesses are being recorded. The toppings that packed with the popcorn are not left behind, they also contain this dangerous substance.

Doughnuts are also delicacies that have high cholesterol but very sweet. The bad thing about them is that they only produced through deep frying using hydrogenated oils. Manufacturers utilize hydrogenated oils in making these mixes. For this reason, you can choose to protect your heart by preparing the mixture yourself using the necessary ingredients. Also, ensure you use the right oil and powdered sugar for toppings as a substitute for frosting.
